LIV Golf is increasing the excitement with its newest event, The Duels: Miami—a high-energy showdown set to bring golf’s biggest stars and top content creators together for a fast-paced, made-for-YouTube competition. Taking place on April 5, this unique event promises to blend serious competition with serious entertainment, giving fans a fresh, dynamic twist on the game. As the first truly global golf league, LIV Golf has already redefined the sport with its innovative team model and fan-first experiences. Now, The Duels is pushing things even further.

Set against the backdrop of LIV Golf Miami, the league’s first U.S. event of the 2025 season, this thrilling nine-hole scramble will pair six LIV pros with six of the most popular golf creators, guaranteeing high-stakes action, big personalities, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

With a format designed by creators and made for fans, The Duels brings a new energy to the sport. Expect fierce competition, wild creativity, and a fresh way to experience golf like never before. As it turns out, Wesley Bryan, who plays on the PGA Tour, will also be part of the event, as per the confirmed roster. He will be paired with Sergio Garcia, and there will be other top LIV stars like Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and some more.

NUCLR Golf took to their official X account and shared a teaser of the event. In the caption they gave out some details and wrote, “LIV Golf announces its own Creator-focused competition with scramble teams: Sergio / George Bryan, Bubba / Luke Kwon, Joaquin Niemann / Rick Shiels, Phil Mickelson / Grant Horvat, DJ / Wesley Bryan, Cam Smith / Fat Perez Are you gonna watch?”  

One name that garnered everyone’s attention was Wesley Bryan. He is a PGA Tour pro who recently qualified for the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open as an 8th alternative. So, how will he play on LIV Golf, even if in a creator’s capacity? Has he been suspended? Because when Greg Norman launched LIV Golf, the PGA Tour announced that any player who joined would be suspended from playing on the American Tour and their Tour card would also be revoked. The golf Community worried about Wesley Bryan being suspended from the PGA Tour

Taking to the PGA Tour’s suspension rule, people left comments like,Does this mean Wesley Bryan is suspended from the PGA Tour?” and “Wesley Bryan is an active PGA tour player, what the hell is he doing, man?”

Wesley Bryan and George Bryan IV are brothers, with Wesley being the younger sibling. Both are professional golfers and have gained widespread recognition for their popular YouTube channel, “Bryan Bros Golf.” Along with Wesley Bryan, as it turns out, even George Bryan will be a part of the event. He is paired up with Dustin Johnson. Taking to this, one of them wrote,I understand George being in this, but Wes Bryan being involved is….something.”

Another taking to the fact that it is like Creator Classic, which is not even an official event, and is a two-man scramble wrote, Losing your tour card for 2 man scramble on LIV? Shocked to see Wesley Bryan competing in this but money talks.” Imagine risking a full-fledged Tour card for an event that will not even count as a pro tournament!

While another simply wrote,So b*tch a** @wesleybryangolf should absolutely be banned from real PGAT events immediately & perpetually. He already had his cake & ate too, embarrassing himself by stopping down to play in a “creator classic”. Now he’s doing YouTube X LIV?! Nahhhh f**k that & f**k him” in frustration.
