John Daly has been one of the most controversial figures in the golf world. The 58-year-old makes headlines for all the wrong reasons. He has a habit of smoking on the course and drinking Diet Coke after almost every hole he putts. When he had to withdraw from the PGA Championship due to a thumb injury this year after the first round, his diet was extreme.

According to some reporters, Daly consumed two packs of cigarettes, four Snickers bars, and two Cokes over the eighteen holes at Valhalla. Even at the Senior PGA Championship, according to Golf Digest, Daly consumed a similar amount of unhealthy items. “The final tally of everything he put into his body over a full 18 holes: 21 cigs, 12 Diet Cokes, 6 packs of Peanut M&M’s, and 0 ounces of water,” they reported.

And not to forget, John Daly’s antics of entering the course hungover during golf matches. While Daly abides by these practices almost every day, it seems LIV golfers are joining in on his habits, albeit only occasionally. In the latest YouTube video from Chef Donny, Brooks Koepka and Taylor Gooch join him to make their favorite post-round meal—a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich—while chatting with each other.

As the video progresses, Donny asks them if they are picky eaters, to which they reply that they will pretty much eat anything. Brooks Koepka even said that when he wins, he goes straight to alcohol for celebration. Gooch added, “I will say though I do this like if I play bad I will eat like sh*t.” Koepka added, “Bro same, I’d like to order a pizza. I want bad food when I play sh*t.”  To this Donny added, “So more like John Daly method.” Brooks Koepka chuckled and stated, “You can’t pull that.”

While Brooks Koepka might indulge in junk food during a bad round, LIV golfers lost 24 pounds for a magazine shoot back in 2019. Not only that but when he transitioned to LIV Golf, his diet became cleaner than ever.

Brooks Koepka refused a chocolate ice cream at the 2022 Jeddah

Brooks Koepka made his debut in LIV Golf in 2022. There were several changes in the schedule, but his passion for the game remained the same. During his first appearance in Jeddah, the 2023 PGA Championship winner was offered a chocolate ice cream after his round. He turned it down. At the press conference, he was asked why he did so. Koepka replied, “I haven’t hit the gym in a long time.” He added, “Just trying to be healthy, man.”

Being a foodie, Koepka admitted that the ice cream ‘looked good’ to him, but he preferred not to eat it. He also ramped up his fitness routine after the Miami event. He started hitting the gym back in 2022 and accepted that he has been in the best physical shape in the last 3 years. What are your thoughts about Brooks Koepka?
