The Ryder Cup 2021 is just a few days away and Team U.S. is already at Whistling Straits getting heavy with practice. The American reputation in this tournament has been damaged over the last few editions and it is upto Dustin Johnson and the rest of the squad to go out there and win it this year.
Dustin Johnson is an experienced Ryder Cup campaigner. The former World No. 1 has made four appearances in the biennial event in the past and is all set for his fifth. However, Johnson might not have his lady love cheering him on from the sidelines at Whistling Straits this year.

About a few days ago, Dustin Johnson’s fiancee Paulina Gretzky shared unfortunate news through her Instagram profile. The 32-year-old posted a story wearing a huge cast on her left leg, and wrote: “Just my luck before the Ryder Cup.”
Since it was an Instagram story, the image automatically vanished after 24 hours. However, one can view it here. Just last week, Gretzky and Johnson were spotted partying on a boat with their friends. A few days later, she picks up an injury that requires placing a cast on her leg.
Paulina was gutted that she has injured herself just before the Ryder Cup. But will this injury keep her out from supporting Dustin Johnson at the Ryder Cup? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out!
The pair recently revealed their wedding location but did not give a confirmation about the date. Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky got engaged in 2013 and have two kids together.

How has Dustin Johnson performed in the Ryder Cup?
Dustin Johnson made his Ryder Cup debut in 2010. Since then he’s amassed a 7-9-0 record, which would not be an impressive sight for many Americans. However, Johnson remains an integral part of the squad owing to his experience.
Johnson’s singles record at the Ryder Cup is 3-1-0, meaning that he is good when it comes to one-on-one matches. He seems to struggle in the four-ball and the four-some formats, which has always been the case for Team U.S.
