Among the best talents from the present generation, 38-year-old Dustin Johnson has enjoyed a successful golf career. The only golfer to win all four World Golf Championship Events was among the top players on the PGA Tour. He claimed two major titles, with the latter going down in history. In November 2020, ‘DJ’ shattered Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth’s record (-18) with an effort of 20 under at The Masters. His feat on the hallowed grounds of the Augusta National Golf Club will have seen his stock soar. Unfortunately, his reputation among the purists may have plummeted following his controversial $150 million move to the LIV Golf Series.
Despite that, Dustin Johnson remains one of the best in the game. It is clearly a case of someone who had the talent to succeed in his field of interest. But the golf pro didn’t rule out any other sport when presented with a rather intriguing question.

Dustin Johnson said, “I’d probably go with baseball. That was probably my favorite sport growing up. Yeah, so pro baseball player.”
But did ‘DJ’ have any preferences about whom he would love to play with? “There’s a lot of really good players I’d like to play with, but obviously you play against them all,” he said.
Furthermore, the inaugural LIV Golf Series individual winner answered which teams he’d like to represent in his dream baseball career.

“What team I would like to be on? Braves or Astros,” the golfer said after contemplating for a moment or two.
Baseball may be a thing he loved as a child, but Dustin Johnson will have his focus solely on Augusta as he seeks to win a second Green Jacket.

The Augusta National Golf Club’s decision to allow LIV golfers to participate in the Masters comes as a sigh of relief for Johnson. Indeed, the 38-year-old will lead the LIV contingent in what is expected to be a hotly contested event, considering the hostilities between the two factions.

Dustin Johnson will also be one of the leading title challengers for the event. The 38-year-old was undoubtedly the best player in LIV Golf’s inaugural campaign, where he led his team to a dominant victory.
While he hasn’t made the best start to the current LIV campaign, Johnson’s experience at the famed Augusta National will come in handy. He finished one stroke behind Tiger Woods in 2019 and made a huge statement that saw the 15-time Major Champion present him with the famed Green Jacket in 2020.

Johnson’s record-breaking play saw him finish five strikes ahead of Im Sung-jae and Cameron Smith. He has also faced failure at Augusta after failing to make the cut in 2021 and finishing T12 in 2022. Will ‘DJ’ be able to re-discover the form he displayed in 2019 and 2020?
