The major championship winner, Dustin Johnson, recently shocked everyone when he joined LIV Golf. He was a member of the PGA tour earlier until he accepted the LIV Golf invitational series offer. He is making headlines again.

During a recent press conference, Johnson said something about LIV Golf and grabbed everyone’s attention.

Johnson recently joined LIV Golf and retired from the PGA Tour. He was seen playing at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Chicago. John attended the LOV Golf press conference on 18th September 2022, along with Pat Perez, Patrick Reed, and Talor Gooch.

He talked about playing as a team and confirmed that everyone was playing well. His team was one shot dead in the last hole. While playing with Pete and Cam, he wanted to tie with Pete to win. His group could grab the fourth victory in the row.

He was then asked about creating a dynasty and how it could be created. Johnson replied it did not matter if they got four wins in a row. And that it does not matter how much success one gets in a row. One can form a dynasty only when you win many times in a row for many years, consecutively.

He said, “Well, it doesn’t matter how many in a row we get. We need to do it multiple years in a row, then we can be a dynasty.”

Retiring from the PGA Tour

Dustin Johnson recently retired from the PGA Tour to test his golf skills. After his retirement announcement, he said that the new format that LIV Golf provides is an actual test of skills. Because of his retirement, he is not eligible to play in the following year’s Ryder Cup. Johnson said he was not aware of the consequences of retirement yet. But he was sure of his plan that from now on, he will play for LIV Golf.

He was sad that he wouldn’t be allowed to play for the Ryder cup as he was no longer eligible. But he believes things keep changing, and rules can vary too. It depends upon how the tour handles it. He has firm hopes to play Ryder Cup.
