The Aussie golfer is a beloved member of the golfing cosmos. With his light-hearted demeanor and carefree smile, he fit right into LIV Golf’s patented form. With the Bedminster event underway, the captain of Ripper GC had an opportunity to ask a personal question to Dustin Johnson during the presser when prompted on the scene.

Smith donned a serious countenance and said, “I have a question for DJ.” He asked the 2-time major winner, “For guys watching at home, what do you like to do in your free time?”

Johnson also laughed while answering in all sincerity, “I like to spend as much time as I can on the water.” Smith jumped in to ask if DJ has any other interests, to which the captain of 4Aces GC replied that he likes doing anything with water be it, “fishing, diving, chilling, whatever it is.” By the end, everyone burst into laughter while the Cheetah thanked the 2022 Open Championship winner for the revolutionary question.

LIV Golfers seem to enjoy every minute they spend on the laid-back circuit.

The PGA Tour may be following in the footsteps of LIV

The Saudi-backed circuit set new norms since they came into existence. While there have been high levels of tension between LIV Golf, the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour for some time, the new framework agreement has opened new horizons. Putting the bad blood to rest, the American and European Tours decided to merge with the PIF Tour for a $ 3 billion deal.

Not only is it a start of easing golfers into a better system, but the PGA Tour also designed a new calendar schedule. As per the new norms, the American circuit is also on the verge of eliminating the ‘cut’ system. While legendary golfers Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Niklaus are implementing the age-old qualifier in the events they host, most of the tournaments in the 2023-24 season will witness the ‘no cut’ rule.
