He also narrated a funny incident at Torrey Pines golf course which involved Brad Faxon and Love Davis, and a penalty caused by Phil’s mischief. At the game, after Mickelson and Brad hit their shots, Burke who was caddying for Faxon, went in the direction looking for the ball.

While Burke was searching for the ball, he realized that he didn’t have the head cover so he started looking around for it but couldn’t find it. Turned out it was Mickelson who had been playing with them all along and had hidden the head cover underneath his shirt which he didn’t give back to John until after the shot. Meanwhile, Phil and Brad made their shots and hit them up to the green. When they reached there, they found that they had hit the wrong balls. A caddie’s awareness plays a very important role in a golfer’s success on the field and this lesson emphasized it.

Pulling their leg on TV, Johnny Miller says, “Yeah, there goes Dumb and Dumber,” which Burke thought was the best line Miller ever said. They were having a little fun with it until they ended up getting penalized for it.
