A serious change has been witnessed in McIlroy’s choice of driver, fairway wood, and one of the wedges that he deploys this year, in contrast to his 2023 choices. He will now be seen using the new TaylorMade Qi10 driver for his long drives that power his game. He has chosen to stick with the Fujikura Ventus Black 6-X shaft for his driver.
Moreover, his bag change in terms of fairway woods is also notable. He has switched from the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus fairway woods to the new TaylorMade Qi10 fairway wood in both 15° and 18° with a Fujikura Ventus Black 8-X and 9-X shaft, respectively, in his 3-woods and 5-woods.
His appearance at the DPWT event has also revealed that he has now switched to the new and improved TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedges in 46°, 50°, 54°, and 60° lofts with Project X Rifle 6.5 shafts.
Additionally, he is now seen using the Spider-Tour X putter instead of his previously used Scotty Cameron putter. He will also be deploying the Golf Pride grips to strengthen his game going forward. But what is his choice of clubs this year?

At the 2024 Dubai Invitational, the Northern Irishman is using TaylorMade’s P760 4-iron and TaylorMade’s custom series of Rors Proto iron in 5 irons through 9 irons. McIlroy is also known to sometimes deploy utility irons to perfect his shots. This is notably the TaylorMade Stealth UDI (16°) with a Project X Hzrdus 65 105 shaft.

He has also been spotted using the new and powerful TaylorMade TP5x golf ball for his insane shots this season. The 34-year-old does all this while donning Nike apparel and shoes, under his decade-old contract with the sponsor. He specifically chose the famous Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 3 for its comfort and style.
