The 2024 Dubai Desert Classic and the first Rolеx Series event of the DP World Tour season are set to kick off on Thursday, January 18, at the Emiratеs Golf Club in Dubai. The tournament, which is celebrating its 35th edition this year, boasts a star-studded field of 132 players, including defending champion Rory McIlroy and 2024 Dubai Invitational winner Tommy Fleetwood.

What time do players tee off at the 2024 Dubai Desert Classics?

The world no. 2 won the event for the third time last year with a score of 19 and a half. He will start his title defense from the 10th tee at 08.10 am local time (4.10 am GMT, 11.10 pm ET) in the opening round. The runner-up of the curtain-raiser event of the DPWT will be looking forward to leaving his agony of loss and defending his title.
Along with him, he also has two other players who will tee off at the same time: his Team Europe Ryder Cup teammate Nicolai Højgaard and former world No. 1 Adam Scott. However, the 24x PGA Tour winner will not tee off with his Fleetwood, who stole the trophy from him last weekend.
Flееtwood who claimed his seventh DP World Tour title his groupmates, Ryan Fox and Cameron Young, will tee off from the first tee at 12:20 p.m. local time (08:20 a.m. GMT, 3.20 am ET). The Englishman will be looking to add another trophy to his collection in the UAE and have double celebrations!

10th tee in the first round in Dubai
Another headliner in the desert will be Joaquin Niemann, who came back from the LIV Golf to play in the DPWT and qualify for the Majors. The LIV Golf pro thought it was the ‘easiest path’ for him to overcome the ‘unfair’ OWGR system. He will tee off at 8:30 a.m. local time (04:30 a.m. GMT, 11.30 pm ET) along with Nathan Kimsey and Guido Migliozzi.
