It’s the sixth event on the DP World Tour’s Back 9. The hype is naturally high owing to the increased Race to Dubai Ranking Points offered at the event. But that’s what the golfers will be aiming for. What, then, do you think the fans would be waiting for? Well, many golfers, including Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka, not to mention Jon Rahm, will be teeing off. And it’s not a surprise that the community would want to know how to watch the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in person.
It’s not that hard to go and watch the strong field at the upcoming event that will be played over three iconic courses—the Old Course St Andrews, Carnoustie, and the Kingsbarns Golf Links. As per the official website of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, tickets are not needed to enter the three courses on either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? Naturally so, since it is the event also provides a chance for the golfers to qualify for the playoffs, making it all the more exciting to watch. However, the tournament will take place from October 3, Thursday, October 6, and Sunday. And the fans who would want to watch the final day’s play would require tickets. More importantly, they would not be free like the other three days.

Although the Spanish golfer did express his distaste at paying the fines for teeing off in the LIV Golf League, Rahm, on September 12, went ahead and appealed the sanctions. The golfer had a significant figure of $1,176,000 in penalty to pay the European Tour, due to which he couldn’t tee off at any DP World Tour event. However, that would also deny him a chance to make the Ryder Cup team next year.
“I’m not a big fan of the fines,” said the golfer back then as he added, “I don’t intend to pay the fines, and we keep trying to have a discussion with them about how we can make this happen.” But now, it seems the discussions did not bear fruit, for he followed the suit of fellow LIV golfer Tyrrell Hatton in a bid to tee off at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Anyhow, the fans can surely expect an exhilarating weekend at the three iconic courses!
