The Omega European Masters is one of the most prestigious golf competitions on the DP World Tour. Like always, the 2022 edition (75th) of the tournament Crans-sur-Sierre GC, Crans Montana in Switzerland from August 25 to 28.
Notably, none of the Top 50 golfers on the Official World Rankings are participating in the European golf tournament this year. However, the 156-player field consists of some of the best players on the European Tour, like Miguel Angel Jimenez, Pep Angles, Adri Arnaus, and Matt Wallace.

The Omega European Masters champion’s prize money and other benefits
The total purse of the 72-hole tournament is €2,000,000. Like most of the DP World Tour events, a cut is made at the Crans-sur-Sierre GC field after 36-holes. Nonetheless, only the players who finished all four rounds will get to win a part of the total purse.
However, there are some benefits that the tournament offers just for its champion. The main feature of winning the European Masters event is that the winner will receive 16.67% of the purse, which is the standard amount according to the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart.
As per the prize money distribution chart, the event champion will receive €333,330 from the total purse. He will also get 16 Official World Golf Ranking points, with the points available based on field strength. Moreover, the champion will get a two-plus season exemption on the European Tour, as well berths into other major Tour events.

The main perk of winning the European Masters is that he will 460 out of the 2,750 Race to Dubai points allotted to the field. Notably, the top five players on the Race to Dubai standings at the end of the season will get a part of the bonus pool money of €5 million. Winning the event will help the DP Tour players to be in contention to win that bonus pool.
