The Spanish professional has been a topic of discussion and has dominated the headlines a lot recently in the golfing world owing to his alleged move to the alternate tour. However, this time around, it was talked about by his American peer in the game of golf, all the while dubbing the former as one of the “biggest asset,” much to the surprise of many in the community!

Many speculations and rumors have been going around in the golf community about Rahm’s move to the PIF-funded circuit and his ditching of the PGA Tour. However, in a surprise of sorts, it was his PGA Tour colleague Jordan Spieth who came out recently to reveal how the Spaniard might be actually considering a shift to LIV Golf.

The 13X PGA Tour champ expressed his worries regarding the same as he took to an interview to talk about the 29-year-old and the rumors surrounding him. Moreover, he said, “it would be a really – really not very good for us in general because we want to play against the best players in the world,” as he dubbed Rahm as “one of the biggest assets” on tour.

Continuing on, the 3X major winner conveyed how he’s unsure about whether his colleague has finalized the decision. However, Spieth was careful to not tick off the golfer as he stated, “I don’t want to insult him and say he’s weighing decisions if he already knows he’s not or he is.” Besides, he divulged how many have talked to the professional all the while mentioning how the situation is “out of his control, “in a way!”

However, Spieth was not the first professional to express his views on the Spaniard’s possible shift to LIV Golf. Although not mentioning the professional’s name, Sergio Garcia recently took to the podcast Fairway to Heaven, hosted by Foltz and Heng, to reveal plans regarding his team.

The Spanish pro disclosed how he has plans to replace Carloz Oritz who left the team. Moreover, he said, “We filled in his position with, someone young, very, very talented, and very exciting,” all the while indicating a possible addition to their European athletes-filled LIV Golf team. Although many are expressing their views, the golfer himself has not confirmed any news regarding the same. Well, only time will reveal the truth regarding Rahm’s shift to the Saudi-backed league.
