Currently, golf’s last major, The Open Championship, is captivating everyone. For many golfers, the championship is a terrific chance to enter the forthcoming prestigious tournament. The Ryder Cup, which is to take place in September, is a dream come true for any player. Additionally, a lot of golfers are attempting to improve their golf records as the selection process is underway.

On the list of many golfers, the Irishman is also taking every chance to be on the team before he is officially a senior golfer. However, he is not satisfied with his recent game and feels he failed to impress European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald.

The finest example of the phrase “age is just a number” is Padraig Harrington. After grabbing the 42nd spot in the Genesis Scottish Open, he has been participating in the Open Championship. But in a recent scenario, he feels like he didn’t contribute this week. He is not satisfied with his game at the Open. For him, the opportunity to impress Donald has passed.

Irish Golfer, a notable golf-related account, shared a snippet of his interview on Twitter. In it, Padraig said, “It’s not like I hit bad putts, links greens can be quite flat I just don’t seem to be able to get it right but I’ve kept hitting good putts but that’s a positive when you are missing putts.” 

Even though things look gloomy for a while, Harrington is sure that he will play his best in upcoming tournaments. ”I have a few more events, and maybe I can go and win one of them. I’m likely to play in the Czech and European Masters,” said the three-time major champion.

Will LIV Golfers play at the Ryder Cup?

Many players were denied entry to the American Tour, Ryder Cup, and Presidents Cup competitions in October of last year after switching to LIV Golf. But when PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan announced the merger last month, everything in golf changed.

Many people believed that things would change immediately, but this is not the case. Certainly, certain LIV golfers are still unable to compete in this year’s Ryder Cup. However, the recent changes in the golf fraternity teach us one thing, and that is that things can change overnight.
