Walker Cup features Team US and Team Great Britain and Ireland, each boasting a 10-member squad. Now, the game is in its second leg on Sunday. On Saturday, Great Britain & Ireland led the Americans 7½-4½.

In the lead-up, the former president of the United States George W. Bush had penned an emotional letter for Team USA. The event has a special place in his heart as it’s named after the former POTUS’ great-grandfather.

Now, former LPGA pro Dottie Pepper sheds light on the same Walker Cup but her tonality is different from that of Bush. She highlights her frustrations with the directives and the format of the game and shares a Twitter post on the same. In the post she writes,4 1/2 years since the @USGA and @RandA overhauled the Rules of Golf and its language. Watching the @WalkerCup and particularly missing “all square,” “dormie,” and above all, “hazard.” Still don’t get the “penalty area” when you don’t necessarily take a penalty shot.

As one can see, she is truly upset. It’s safe to say things have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous, in light of two totally different reactions.
