The 82-time PGA Tour winner has made historical records, whether it be his being the billionaire status, or holding the number one rank for 682 weeks continuously. The iconic golfer has been consistent despite his various setbacks and injuries.

In 2021, Woods miraculously survived a car accident that injured his ankle. This injury had him sit out the entire 2022 season. During his rehabilitation, Woods spent a lot of time with his son, Charlie.

To avoid the risk of worsening the injury, one of Woods’s close friends, Fred Couples, got candid with Golf.com about the advice he gave him, which mentioned the budding junior golfer.

Fred recalled his interaction with Tiger after one of his injuries. He advised him to be careful around Charlie. Fred told him, “Don’t let Charlie run into your arms, or just be ready.”

Couples also has a close-knit group with Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas. He also enlightened the fans that he and Tiger regularly have late-night chats. Despite that, Fred and Tiger have never practiced with each other but wish to do so soon.
