Donald Trump’s love for golf is no secret, and it seems his granddaughter, Kai Trump has inherited his passion for the sport. Kai and the grandfather share an incredible bond over golf, which even stretches to golfing together at the president’s luxurious golf course in New Jersey. Interestingly, the 17-year-old has become quite the player herself.

She has even made headlines showcasing her golfing skills from the Women’s Club Championship at the Palm Beach Golf Course. Additionally, the teenager has also earned compliments from professional golfers and influencers, like Bryson DeChambeau and Garret Clark.

As Kai’s golf career progresses, evidently her family’s support has been important to her success. In a speech at the Republican National Convention, Kai also revealed how Grandpa Trump calls her “during the middle of the school day,” inquiring about her golfing progress.

Recently, the 17-year-old further proved her interest in the sport by committing to play golf at the University of Miami, starting in 2026. As Kai Trump announced her selection on Instagram, she thanked her 78-year-old grandpa. “I would like to thank my grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support,” she wrote. Access to golf courses remains easy for a person whose net worth stands at $5.7 billion.

But, Donald Trump, being himself, never left a chance to come into the limelight boasting about his skills. On a Monday morning match, Trump hit a shot and said, “That’s where Kai Trump gets it!” showing off his skills as usual. It sounded sarcastic, but Trump apparently hit a long drive in the video.

Honestly, it was no surprise to the netizens, as they have seen him do the same over and again. One such incident that might remain historic is when Donald Trump clashed against the former US president, Joe Biden. But it wasn’t about the economy, immigration, or foreign policy. Rather, it was about their golfing skills and handicap index!

Who plays golf better: Trump or Biden?

This verbal battle took place not too long ago, also not in any expected place; it happened during the 2024 U.S. presidential election, which resulted in a verbal battle, about Biden’s and Trump’s golfing abilities. Trump bragged about his championship victories, saying, “I just won two club championships—not even senior, two regular club championships.”

He then mocked Biden, claiming that such victories require intelligence and a strong swing. According to Golf Digest, Trump’s handicap index is 2.5, which is relatively low. His assertion of achieving seven holes-in-one in his lifetime has raised doubts among several golf experts.

Mocking Biden, he added, “To do that, you have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way. And I do it. He doesn’t do it. He can’t hit a ball 50 yards.” Joe Biden responded by saying he’s a six-handicap golfer and would love to play Trump in a match—but only if Trump carries his golf bag. As reported by CNN, Biden has been an avid golfer for years and has even played with Barack Obama and other celebrities. Surely, it would be an interesting battle.

The 78-year-old, in his ‘Break 50’ challenge with Bryson DeChambeau, also revealed that he made eight aces in his lifetime, while DeChambeau revealed his holes-in-ones record was just one.
