A huge part of Xander Schauffele’s success can be attributed to his wife, Maya Lowe. Lowe has always been on his side and has helped him navigate the downs of being a professional golfer. Schauffele is now a 1-time major winner, a dream he captured at Valhalla. She is the anchor in the 8-time PGA Tour winner’s life, which has him standing tall against all the difficulties, regardless of how big the waves might be.

Thus, after winning the 2024 Wanamaker Trophy, Schauffele remembered to credit his wife for all she had done. At the post-win press conference, the 30-year-old showed his love for Lowe and said, “My wife, she’s sort of the rock in my life. She’s constant for me.” When the two had not met, Schauffele never thought that he could prioritize anyone in his life except him. However, after meeting Lowe, things changed. Schauffele expressed, “I never thought I could play golf at a high level and care about someone else besides myself.”

So, undoubtedly, Lowe does support him from inside the ropes, but does she have an interest in golf to play the game? Well, no! She does not play golf. But with her support from the sides, Lowe makes sure that Schauffele plays the best he can. Lowe has been an active part of the Xander Schauffele Family Foundation since 2022, as her experience working for a non-profit organization has helped her.

Throughout her life, Lowe has taken different routes for her professional career. Having majored in social science, at one point she was a healthcare administrator. However, now Lowe has changed from her past work and started an artistic profession.

What does Maya Lowe do for a living?

Being Xander Schauffele’s wife is not Maya Lowe’s only identity. In January 2024, Lowe started her journey as a beginner photographer. The 30-year-old posted on her Instagram story that she gave herself a challenge to start her passion for photography in 2024. Following this, Schauffele’s wife started garnering requests from the golf fraternity and her friends.

She did her first boudoir shoot and expressed that it was a fun learning experience for her. Not only this, Lowe has photographed even Schauffele. In mid-late March, when the 8-time PGA Tour winner was playing the Valspar Championship, Lowe decided to take some shots of her husband for a photography challenge she set up for herself.

Moreover, in March, Lowe took on another project, which was for Max Homa’s caddie, Joe Greiner’s wife Mayla Greiner, and her garden business. The two support each other in their professional careers. And though Lowe keeps her life away from the camera, through the small glimpses she shares on Instagram, it can be said that not just her—even Schauffele—might be her rock!
