The Maguire twins were born in Cavan County in Ireland on 30th November. Declan and Breda welcomed their daughters within a 15 minute break, with Lisa being the older of the two. As per their father, the twins played golf under the influence of their grandma. The duo showed exceptional skills from an early age. Hence, the career path was decided as they decided to conquer the golf world.

Lisa Maguire, the oldest of two, won her first amateur win at the age of 11 and won the World U12 Championship. The list of her amateur career goes long as she won various titles, including the 2009 Irish Women’s Amateur, the Irish Women’s Amateur stroke play championship, and the European U16 tournament.

Moreover, in 2011, Lisa went on to win the European Ladies Amateur and Spanish Ladies Amateur and was also the 10th ranks amateur. However, the big break came when she was offered a scholarship in 2014 by the University of Duke in the United States. The twins took the scholarship and Lisa graduated in psychology as a major in 2018 while making her debut the same year.
