John Daly is a golf legend in his own right—iconic style, jaw-dropping drives, and a personality that’s larger than life. But the Daly name doesn’t end with him. Enter John Daly II, or as most folks call him, Jr. Daly. He’s not just following in his dad’s footsteps; he’s keeping the Daly love for golf alive. But let’s be real: making a name as big asDalyin the golf world isn’t exactly a walk in the park.

Well, let’s keep that thing for the future, but before making a name for himself in the PGA Tour, Jr. Daly needs his PGA Tour Card. So does he have one yet?

No. As of now, Daly II does not quite have a Tour Card. For now, he’s grinding it out on the Korn Ferry Tour—basically golf’s version of the minor leagues, where the next big names sharpen their skills. He made his professional debut at the Compliance Solutions Championship in Oklahoma back in June 2024, thanks to a sponsor exemption. While he didn’t exactly set the leaderboard on fire, it was a big step in his journey.

In the meantime, he’s been making waves at the University of Arkansas—his dad’s alma mater, of course. After taking a redshirt year in 2022-23, he came back strong in 2023-24 with a solid 71.78 scoring average over 23 rounds. And get this—he was the only Razorback to post top-20 finishes in the first six events of the season.

When it comes to amateur play, Daly Jr. showed off his skills by qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Championship. While he didn’t make it deep into the tournament, the experience was indeed priceless. These are the kinds of events where future stars sharpen their game, and it’s clear Daly Jr. is putting in the work.

What’s your perspective on:

Is John Daly II the next big thing in golf, or just riding his dad's coattails?

But golf isn’t just about solo success for the 21-year-old;—he’s also teamed up with his dad at the PNC Championship. Team Daly has been a fan favorite, even stopping Tiger and Charlie Woods from winning the 2021 PNC Championship. They’ve also secured two runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2022.

So no, he doesn’t have that PGA Tour card just yet, but he’s laying a solid foundation for the future. And as we’re about to see, he’s following in his dad’s footsteps in more ways than one.

John Daly II is following his father’s popular legacy

John Daly and Hooters have been a match made in marketing heaven, with Big John rocking Hooters gear and even selling merch from their parking lots. Now, his son, John Daly II, is carrying on the tradition with his own NIL deal with the brand.

The partnership, announced in April 2022, was a first for both sides—Hooters’ first-ever NIL deal and Little John’s first big endorsement. Since then, he’s been representing the brand through social media, golf tournaments, and appearances, while his dad continues to rock Hooters swag on the PGA Tour events.

“Hooters is the ideal place for me to go and unwind after a long day on the course or in the classroom, so I am honored to be chosen as an ambassador for the iconic brand,” Daly II shared.I have seen my father’s great relationship with Hooters over the years, and I am proud to continue my family’s association with this iconic brand.”

Sure, NCAA rules mean no Hooters gear during college tournaments, but off the course, Jr. John is proudly keeping the Daly-Hooters connection alive and well.
