Caddies also enjoy similar perks as the golfers do such as travel allowances, accommodations, meals, and more. It’s worth pointing out that caddies might earn more during other tournaments on the PGA Tour or DP World Tour. Caddies are certainly not left out of the mix. Much like the players they assist, their travel, accommodation, and dining costs for the week are taken care of. They also receive six weekly tickets to distribute and a payment of $4,000.

It’s a fair compensation for a week, though many often earn more during other tournaments given the seasoned players they work with. It’s likely that the perks provided during the 2018 Ryder Cup mirrored those of 2016 for players, caddies, and their companions. But in terms of sightseeing, there was a noticeable upgrade. While the members toured the Mall of America in 2016, the grandeur of the Palace of Versailles must have been top-notch two years later.
