‘Disrespecting ANGC’: Justin Thomas’ Casual Statement Triggers His Loyal Fanbase

Justin Thomas is one of the most talented golfers of his generation. However, he’s recently been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. 

The Genesis Invitational started for him as a fun event as he got paired with his close friends for the first round, but it has been all downhill from there. The prank between him and Tiger Woods was widely unappreciated as many considered it as a degradation to women. 

And now the 2-time major champion is under fire for revealing his favorite golf course to play among the PGA Tour events. 

Justin Thomas thinks Riviera is the best on the PGA Tour

The 2023 Genesis Invitational has come to an end with Jon Rahm taking the trophy home. Although he tried hard, Thomas could only secure a T20th position. This event has been very chaotic for him, especially because of the tampon controversy.

However, his recent Instagram post has added fuel to the fire. JT took to Instagram to share some pictures from the tour and expressed in the caption that for him, Genesis Invitational is the best PGA Tour event. 

“Riv stays the best course on Tour. Was a grind to end 4 weeks on the road… time to go home and get some R&R!” his caption read. 

Well, his caption has triggered the fans. Many found it offensive to other golf courses that host tournaments on the PGA Tour. 

“So no to the Honda then? Sad in yours and other backyard where you can drive home and sleep. PGA has completely screwed SO FLA. #pgatour”

“Best course on tour? Assuming you mean non majors?”

Notably, fans even pointed out certain golf course names, especially Augusta National, to question Thomas’ interest.

“Riv better than Augusta?”

“Best course on the tour for reals?!”

“Disrespecting ANGC I see.”

“Masters isn’t the best? But yes Riviera is an amazing course”

“Lmfaoooo trash”

“I’m guessing @justinthomas34 might change his mind after the US Open at LACC this year.”
