Luckily, the Nicklaus family is filled with it. Jack once praised his wife, Barbara Nicklaus, for her fantastic character as a wife, a mother, and a grandmother.

The Golden bear said, “She didn’t want to bother me with the kids’ troubles and she is now being a great-grandmother. She always took care of the discipline of our kids…. it’s hard sometimes, and so she has just been fantastic”, during an interview with Graham Bensinger.

He talked about how she raised their kids and grandkids with finesse. She provided them with morals and discipline in Jack’s absence during his peak career years. Barbara’s presence made it all seem so simple for the professional golfer and he used the platform to acknowledge just that.

What happened when Nicklaus’s wife underwent a miscarriage?

The famous professional golfer, Jack Nicklaus, also mentioned the instance where his wife in her attempts to provide Nicklaus with viable support went a little extreme.

She was undergoing a miscarriage but she chose to bare the pain and only informed Jack Nicklaus in the morning. He then rushed her to the hospital.

Nicklaus was playing the 1967 Sahara invitational then and she made sure he was well rested even if it came at her own risk. He then ended up winning the tournament.
