This week, Elon Musk bought Twitter and proceeded to send social media into a frenzy. Everyone seems to be reaching out to the businessman with various ideas and demands, trying to make most of the changed ownership. PGA Tour star Max Homa, on his end, seems to be facing some issues on the site.

Despite being a platform for sharing opinions, one can fall victim to various on Twitter. Apparently, being a celebrity with a blue tick is no different.

As per Homa’s recent tweet, the golfer received some suspicious messages on Twitter, which he chose to share with his followers. Interestingly, Homa ended up tagging Musk in his tweets, making the most out of the situation.

Why did Max Homa tag Elon Musk on Twitter?

Looking at Homa’s tweets, one can say that the golfer was almost tricked, probably into giving out his social security number and other details. Homa, however, chose to have some fun. He tagged Musk, demanding to know why he got the message, letting him know he did not make fun of his golf swing.

Later, Homa seemed to realize that it might be proper spam. He did end up filling in the details, which required some important information. While he was joking at first, Homa’s second tweet seemed to be more serious. Furthermore, it did look like Homa filled in his details, only to be led to an inconclusive page.

That being said, Homa probably ended up tagging Musk simply because of his new ownership. People have been having fun with the situation for some time, some even coming up with memes and otherwise.

Fans had some interesting reactions to what Musk had to say. Some believed the message seemed legit enough, while some were convinced it was spam. Irrespective of that, it is unlikely that Musk might reply to Homa’s tweet.

Where is Homa playing now?

As of now, Homa is not a part of any PGA Tour event. The 31-year-old last played at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, finishing T21. He even played the Masters, finishing T48. One can say that Homa has been having a good enough year, having last won the Fortinet Championship.
