Woods recently denied an alleged $800 million offer from LIV Golf; a league that Donald Trump openly and strongly supports. However, being on the opposite side in the game has nothing to do with the relationship between Trump and Woods. After all, it was not long ago when Trump built a villa named after the golf legend in Doral, Miami.

Donald Trump once named a villa after Woods

Trump is a great politician and knows exactly how to build relationships with the most influential people. The former POTUS has been an all-time supporter of the game of golf and has huge respect for all legendary golfers. Among these names was one of Trump’s favorite golfers, Tiger Woods. And to pay the well-deserved respect to the golf ace, Trump once named a huge villa after Woods.

Donald Trump called upon his family and Woods to cut the ribbons for the grand opening of the Tiger Woods Villa on March 5, 2014. The golfer made sure he visited the place on the big day, exactly one day before playing at the Trump National Doral, Miami for the 2014 Cadillac Championship.

Trump talked about why he named the villa in Miami after the golf great. He said, “Tiger Woods is a very special champion and a total winner…we’ve named eight of the ten great villas…after the top ten greatest players in the history of golf…it’s my honor to name this the Tiger Woods Villa.”

While Trump talked about the golfer and his contribution to the sport, Woods didn’t stay behind in appreciating the politician’s efforts in making Miami a better place. He said, “What Donald has done with this place is phenomenal, and he does nothing halfway, Doral has totally changed and changed for the better”

The Villa contains the most important times of the golfer’s career in the form of pictures and photo frames hanging on each wall. It is painted with ivory, champagne, and caramel neutrals throughout. The villa has luxurious guestrooms and suites that also provide a spectacular view of the golf course and exuberant gardens.
