Fowler has failed to qualify for the past two Masters. However, he looks to change his fortune for the upcoming Major in Georgia. But as of now, Rickie’s faith remains the same as the previous two years. The 34-year-old hasn’t qualified for the Masters yet.
The news can be upsetting for his massive fan following. Nonetheless, the golfer still has two more opportunities to earn a ticket for the Augusta National ahead of the Major. He could have bettered his chances at the OWGR if he had participated in the Valspar Championship this past week. But, the 34-year-old decided to skip the PGA Tour event. Nevertheless, Rickie is expected to face the in-form Jon Rahm at the upcoming WGC Match Play tournament. A good showing at the event could get him into the top 50.

According to golf experts, Fowler has a chance to qualify for the Masters if he makes it to the quarter-finals at the WGC Country Club. Otherwise, he would have to solely rely on winning the Valero Texas Open to get a ticket to the ANGC next month. It will mark the final event ahead of the season’s first Major. It will also be the final chance for uninvited golfers to compete in Augusta National this year. The Valero Texas Open will take place from March 30- April 2, just a week before the Masters.
The script can’t be better written for the ever-loved Rickie Fowler to qualify for the Major and go on to win the Green Jacket. Still thriving for his maiden Major title, Fowler came close back in 2018 to win the Masters, but only finished as a runner-up to Patrick Reed. If only he had won that year, he would have received a lifetime invitation to Augusta National.
