His wife, Brittany Horschel, has battled alcoholism for a significant time. However, he chose to remain silent on the matter even after winning the 2017 AT&T Byron Nelson. It was Brittany Horschel herself who openly expressed her happiness on the first anniversary of her sobriety. Yes, you heard that right. Mrs. Horschel was able to put an end to her struggle with alcoholism and went on a sobriety streak.

Addressing her journey, she wrote on X in 2017, “I write this nervously, skeptically, but also proudly because I have embraced the woman I have become over the past year. One year ago, I began a journey to a healthy me, mentally and physically. I will keep his simple, ‘I am an alcoholic.’ I say that now without shame.” After all, this journey was not an easy one.

From moving into a new home to competing on Tour, and everything in between, Horschel did it all. His wife made sure to acknowledge his efforts and thank him for them.
