Nobody anticipated that LIV Golf would draw players from historical leagues like the PGA Tour and DP World Tour when it first launched. But the most lucrative agreement and numerous other benefits have allowed Saudi-backed circuits to attract some of the best players in the world.
LIV Golf has seen many ups and downs since the start. Those players who switched their leagues and are members of the Greg Norman-led circuit faced the utmost scrutiny for their decisions. After all those trials and tribulations, LIV Golf is ending its second season. And it is the moment to celebrate the league as well as those 48 world-class players who became part of the league.
Fireworks filled up the sky of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) following the opening day of competition in the $25 million LIV Golf Jeddah. The athletes, locals, and tourists all found the sight to be an outstanding experience. With this act, LIV Golf made it clear that it would always honor its players to the fullest extent.
While the sight has pushed the significant setback relating to the OWGR for the golfers into the background, it has undoubtedly not gotten rid of it altogether. After all, the issue may have a huge impact on the LIV stars going forward.
