The 2023 off-season of pro golfing has commenced, and it is the time of the year that players take a break from the golf greens to spend some teeing time with their families. PGA Tour player Justin Thomas has been doing just that. The golfer’s last pro-golf schedule this year was the DPWT Nedbank Championship earlier this month, which gained him traction for being the only PGA Tour member, along with Max Homa, to be in the fray in South Africa. 

Next in line ought to be TGL. But because of the tragedy that hit Tiger Woods’ brainchild, the postponement has not only delayed the savvy League but also pushed back JT’s virtual golfing debut. Irrespective of that thought, JT has found himself another game to fixate on, yelling at something completely different.

In a recent update, Justin Thomas took to his very controversial X handle to update the fans about his current day-to-day doings. It’s Thanksgiving season, and so JT being active on X is no surprise. The player has a history of making controversial remarks during the holiday season—something that has made him the center of attention in the past. Now, with a recent update, the golfer has again become the star under the spotlight.

JT watched the Iowa-Nebraska football game last night, and the golfer came on X to post about the happenings of the game. Away in the confines of his home, JT found himself entrenching, and as per the golfer’s claims, he couldn’t decide if the game he watched was the best or worst of his lifetime. 

The player’s tweet read: I can’t stop yelling at the TV for this Iowa-Nebraska game, and I can’t stop watching. I can’t tell if this is the worst or the best thing I’ve ever watched 😂.

The deflating statement confirmed that because of the venue-related concerns—with Sofi Dome being damaged due to a power outage, the simulator golf league stands pushed to 2025. This dispatch wasn’t just a stop for Woods and McIlroy but also a change of course for JT, who was expected to make his first virtual golfing debut in the league. The timeline is all changed now. JT’s 2024 season start looks like a shrouded mystery. But seeing the pace of change in pro golfing silo, things might be different soon.
