Rickie Fowler achieves a massive professional milestone
Fowler, 34, has proven his loyalty toward the PGA Tour several times in his career. Along with making tons of professional records, the golfer has also won millions of hearts with his performances. However, the former world no. 1 has been away from the top players on the OWGR leaderboard for some time now.

But to everyone’s surprise, the golf star has taken a giant leap in the world rankings within the past few months. As per one of Fowler’s fan pages, the golfer was on the 185 rank on the leaderboard back in September 2022. But despite such a disturbing position, the golfer now stands in 55th place on the leaderboard. Notably, he is just five spots away from being one of the top 50 players worldwide. The way he has been performing in his recent tournaments, it will probably not take him a long time to reach the benchmark.

The golf star has been the biggest supporter of the tour, along with his buddies Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas. Moreover, he even holds a dominant role in the decision-making of the PGA Tour unofficially. He also attended a special meeting with the PGA Tour officials and Woods to discuss the future of the tour and its golfers.

The highly awaited Masters Tournament is just days away from its commencement where legends, including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Gary Player, will be hitting the ceremonial first tee shot. However, despite being extremely talented, PGA Tour pro Rickie Fowler has still not qualified to be on the field. For those who don’t know, only the top 50 players on the OWGR leaderboard are invited to play in the massive tournament. And keeping in mind Fowler’s current position, he is not qualified for the event.
The golfer also hasn’t been able to win a PGA Tour event since the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Despite having appeared at the Masters tournament consistently for a decade, the golf ace couldn’t qualify for 2020 and 2021 in a row.
