Just a few hours away from the Open Championship, everyone is dearly missing Tiger Woods on the course. The three-time Open Championship winner is not taking part this time because of health issues.
But to the delight of many ‘Tiger’ fans, another ‘Tiger’ will be there on the course, young prodigy Tiger Christensen. 19-year-old Christensen gained entry into this year’s field by placing in the top six of one of the Open’s last 36-hole qualifiers at West Lancashire in England earlier this month. He had no idea that he had broken an unusual record.
Tiger Woods is the only person with that name who has ever participated in the history of the 163rd Open Championship. The custom was quickly broken by a German amateur’s qualifying entry. Golf Digest shared this unique report on Twitter.

The biggest relief for the 2006 Open Championship Winner
After his split with ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, Woods and she have been embroiled in a legal battle. After they broke up in 2022, Herman had to leave Woods’ multimillion-dollar home. This caused Herman to file a lawsuit against him in a public court for $30,000,000 in compensation after she had to leave the mansion.

Herman claimed that she and Woods had an “oral tenancy agreement” under which she could stay in his mansion for a further five years in the event of a breakup. Woods, on the other hand, referred to her as a “jilted ex-girlfriend,” according to TMZ.
Finally, the ugly battle between the two has been resolved. Herman has now finally decided to drop the case. This could be a huge sigh of relief for Woods.
