As the US Senate opened up an investigation on the $3 billion merger of PGA Tour and LIV Golf, it has got the players standing on their toes. And like the others, the world No.1, Scottie, is also tensed by the situation. Scheffler attended the press conference of the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, Scotland where he was presented with some serious questions about the investigation.
Upon being asked if as a PGA Tour player, there is something to be concerned about going forward, he made some very interesting replies.

He said “I just think that yesterday, we didn’t really learn a whole lot, again. As a player on TOUR, we still don’t really have a lot of clarity as to what’s going on and that’s a bit worrisome.”
Scheffler represented the united feeling of the PGA Tour players. He continued, “They keep saying it’s a player-run organization, and we don’t really have the information that we need. I watched part of yesterday and didn’t learn anything. So, I really don’t know what to say.”
His statement has made it clear that the authorities are not sharing any information with its players.

Scheffler also hinted at his and other players’ frustration about being clueless on the matter. “It really is kind of that cycle where it’s just a framework agreement right now so I don’t — I don’t know what that entails. We are not involved in any of the discussions.”
According to the former Masters Champion, none of the players were involved in the agreement. This clearly has made the tour players annoyed, who continue to remain uncertain about their future with their respective leagues.
The Genesis Scottish Open will be held this week at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. But with the Senate investigation going on the players will surely find the hearing a big distraction from the game.
