The Aramco Team Series was back for the third round at the Centurion Club in London. The event saw a strong field of female golf players from the Ladies European Tour including big names such as Nelly Korda, Nicole Garcia, Georgia Hall, and Bronte Law, among others. As 36 teams of 4 duked it out over two days to win the team competition, the event also saw an individual competition with a player field of 108.
Charley Hull’s team was a favorite to win the tournament after her amazing display during the first round of the competition. But her fans were in for a shock as the second round of the individual events ended on Saturday.
Charley Hull’s double loss

Although Charley Hull showcased an amazing performance of golf, her group was unable to make it to T1 and lost the team event with a score of 269 with 23 under. Previously, her team was leading the competition after a first round of 18-under par, but they failed to retain the top spot on the final day of the team event after being pushed down to T2. Moreover, in the second round of the individual event, Hull dropped down to T4 as Korda came up to T1. While the 27-year-old’s team suffered a loss, she recently took to Instagram to upload a post congratulating her team for the finish.

In the post, she went ahead to wish the team on their performance. The female golfer drew on a good spirit as she focused on the fact that they had fun in the competition. “Well done to my team on coming 2nd in the @aramco_series ⛳️ although it was a rainy & windy long couple of days, we had loads of fun!” said the pro golfer as she shared a picture with Hayley Davis and Isabella Deilert.
With a purse money of $1,000,000 for the third round of the Team series, the event saw much fierce competition as Georgia Hall’s team won the team event with Nelly Korda leading the individual event. The American golfer, on Saturday, had taken a five-shot lead into the final round. Although the English golfer was able to bounce back to be tied for her score of 68 (-5) with the World No. 2 in the first round, she failed to make it through to the top position on both fronts by the end of Saturday.
