When LIV Golf was introduced in 2022, it took the golf world by storm. Many players left the PGA Tour and joined LIV Golf for its lucrative deals. The main reason for renowned golfers shifting to the Saudi-backed league was its less hectic schedule and hefty paychecks. But, now it seems that some players want LIV to increase the number of events and expand its schedule.
Jed Morgan wants LIV Golf to expand now
Currently, LIV Golf has 14 tournaments spread across Mexico, USA, Australia, Singapore, Spain, England, and Saudi Arabia. The league runs from February to November.

The Australian golfer who won around $1.08 million in 2022 in almost five LIV events, in his recent interview with news.au.com commented on the LIV Golf’s schedule. He said, “I think a lot of the guys would like to see it grow to 18 events, but that’s from a young guy speaking. Others might like 14. “You probably need to play a few more events each year to keep yourself sharp.”
He commented that with all the LIV Golf stuff going on, golfers get a lot of time off and it could sometimes be a “ little bit frustrating”. “Part of being a good golfer is playing a few tournaments in a row, and getting some form that way.”

Morgan’s latest LIV result
Jed is among the budding professionals at the LIV Golf circuit. The Australian golfer had a relatively average performance at the rival league’s latest Orlando event in the USA. Moreover, he ended the event with an overall score of five under-par. As a result, he finished the event in solo 27th position on the leaderboard, 10 shots behind the winner Brooks Koepka. Kopeka who was the runner-up at the 2023 Masters, emphatically won the Orlando event a week prior to the Masters. The American professional ended the event with an overall score of 15-under-par, one short clear of Sebastian Munoz.
