The 44th edition of the BMW PGA Championship, organized by the DP World Tour, is taking place at the Wentworth Club-West Course. Besides, the $9 million event has a star-studded field, with all 12 European Ryder Cup members participating, including famous golfers like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and others.
Other than golfers, this year’s tournament has Hollywood celebrities invited to the event as well. The names include Tom Holland, Gareth Bale, and more. The Spiderman actor was not spared from Jon Rahm’s swings at the Pro-Am, but despite having shown such marvel, the golfer disappointed himself at the event. For the unversed, the Ryder Cup is set to tee off on September 29 and will continue until October 1 at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club. Spaniard Jon Rahm is a representative of Luke Donald’s team, which is buckling up to win back the trophy that they lost to Team USA last time.
In 2021, Team USA won the title with a score of 19-9 at the biennial event. Now, days before the ultimate patriotic showdown, the two-time major winner is performing at the BMW PGA Championship, where he also had a game of golf with none other than Tom Holland.
Now, Rahm is a name that is associated with excellent performance and putting. Yet, amid the DP World Tour event, he drove a shot that was a subject of dismay for everyone. A social media post of the same went viral on Instagram.

In the post, Rahm can be seen making a mud ball during the second leg of the tournament. Rahm also murmured the same words, “Oh, mud ball! No way…mud ball!”.He quite regretted the shot, it seems.
It seems like Rahm’s misfortunes were extended to his celeb partner, who had a rough day on the course as well.

Tom Holland, aka, people’s favorite Spiderman of the Marvel Studios, is somebody who takes an active interest in golf as well. Thus, he reached the Wentworth Club-West Course on September 13 to play golf at the Pro-Am, which takes place before a tournament.
