Despite His Disappointing Finish at Zurich Classic, Collin Morikawa’s ‘Class Act’ Garners Respect From Golf Community: ‘Like Him More and More…’

American professional Collin Morikawa has returned home along with his playing partner Max Homa after failing to make the cut at the 2023 Zurich Classic. Despite being an ambassador of the tournament, the golfer was unable to score -10 and had to step off the field without playing the third round. But despite his disappointing performance, the golf star was able to win hearts in New Orleans. In fact, a video of him being interviewed by a young fan on the course is receiving love from golf fans all around the world.

PGA Tour ace Collin Morikawa has earned a name for himself through his epic tournament finishes and unbeatable performances. After 22 consecutive cuts, the player is currently second to golf legend Tiger Woods’ 25-cut streak. And that in itself is an achievement for any tour professional.

However, playing amazing golf is not the only reason why Morikawa has earned so much respect among his fans. As a matter of fact, his humble approach toward his fans has always been extremely captivating for all his admirers. Notably, a similar thing happened recently at the Zurich Classic when a young fan tried to interact with the golf underdog. And his reaction to the kids’ questions made everything a lot more beautiful for all spectators.

The PGA Tour shared a video of the golfer signing autographs for his fans, while also answering some really interesting questions put his way by the little boy in yellow! “At what age did you start playing and what motivated you?”, the kid asked as if Morikawa was in a personal interview session with him. But being the person he is, the golfer patiently replied, “I started my first lessons at five…”, followed by tons of other things that the kid wanted to know about him.
