Recently, Nelly Korda has been in outstanding shape. She started her professional career in 2017, and since then, she has advanced to become one of the world’s best players. 2021 marked the career pinnacle of the American professional golfer. Korda won three events on the LPGA Tour in 2021, including the Women’s PGA Championship, her first major victory. She also triumphed at the Meijer LPGA Classic and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, solidifying her position as one of the Tour’s most reliable players.

While the first LPGA major tournament of the year is just around the corner, Korda has gained attention during the recent events surrounding the tournament.

Even though Korda had a fantastic year in 2021, things have not turned out the way everyone had intended. But since then, the 24-year-old’s circumstances haven’t changed for the better. Since winning her first major championship, Korda has gone almost two years without winning another major title.

However, Kelly has made a name for herself by focusing exclusively on winning the Chevron Championship. The American golfer could be seen playing with two unique partners in a video that the LPGA uploaded on Twitter. During yesterday’s pro-am, Korda could be seen playing alongside LPGA Commissioner, Mollie Marcoux Samaan and PGA Tour Commissioner, Jay Monahan.

The LPGA great will undoubtedly attempt to end her 2-years major title drought at Carlton Woods. Korda’s collaboration with the two commissioners has therefore drawn everyone’s attention to it. Despite being winless in the current season, Korda has gathered the attention just before the start of the first major of the year.

Before winning the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship, Nelly Korda had been on a major win drought. She was one of the best players in the world, but yet to claim a major championship. Korda came close to winning a major a number of times. With top-10 finishes at the U.S Women’s Open in both 2019 and 2020 and a T3 result at the 2019 Women’s British Open. Prior to her triumph at the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship, she had failed to make a breakthrough and win a major championship.

Nelly Korda continued her strong run by winning the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship. At the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021, she went on to win the gold medal. She became the first American woman since 1900 to capture an Olympic gold medal in golf. Following her achievement in the Olympics, Korda went on to win the Meijer LPGA Classic, her fourth LPGA championship of the year. She became the first American woman since 2013 to win four LPGA tournaments in a single season.
