Though Paige Spiranac may have failed on her road to becoming a successful professional golfer, she has been acting as a key influencer for many aspiring golfers. During her recent words of wisdom, the social media star decided to share thoughts on what it takes for kids to get into the sport of golf.

Apart from her ever-thriving social media handles, Spiranac also boasts a podcast show named ‘Playing A Round’. In the most recent episode, Derek Jeter & PGA Preview, the former pro golfer, talks about her recent appearance at the MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter’s Charity Golf event.

Paige Spiranac suggests what not to do with young golfers

Deeming to the many questions asked by her massive following, Spiranac took some time on the latest episode of her podcast to answer them. However, one parent was keen to know-how can he could get his kids into golf. Having similar parents who wished their daughter to be a ‘professional athlete’, Paige Spiranac responded to the query with a smile on her face.

While she has expressed her despair in the past of failing to fulfill her parents’ wish, Paige then reminisced about her time growing up and having ‘pressure’ on her “to get a full-time scholarship when I was a junior golfer”. Though she represented San Diego State University, Spiranac claimed all the struggles ‘felt like work’.

Spiranac then discussed how life can get more tiring once a golfer becomes professional. “You’re so burned out, you don’t want to play. You don’t want to practice,” added the former pro golfer while talking about the struggles of the professional circuit.

Paige Spiranac also discussed how in golf, a player can peak anytime in his/her career. So she ended her not to do list by stating, “Don’t put too much pressure on when they’re first starting out”. Spiranac shared details about what not to do as a parent. She then talked about what must be done for the kids growing around the greens of the golf course.

As the discussion further reached its conclusion, Paige’s co-host at the podcast, Samantha Marks, also disclosed her time growing up as a golfer. Nonetheless, Spiranac then ends the conversation by sharing a productive tip with all the young golfers and their parents.

She said, “You need to learn how to play and you need to learn how to score, especially under pressure”. Paige Spiranac ends by hinting to avoid ‘practicing on the driving range’ and instead ‘play 3 holes’ or regular golf. Though Spiranac didn’t reach the pinnacle of Ladies’ Professional Golf, she did compete on the Cactus Tour.
