The successful businessman revealed how his daughter had the choice of going to any school. As the pro golfer did not want to focus too much on academics, she made two lists of different schools and graded them as per the checklist of things she wanted. “She actually put schools like UCLA, USC, Stanford and Wake Forest on the B list because, in Linn’s mind, those were schools where (academics) would take too much time.” The A list included LSU, Alabama, Arizona State and Florida. These were the schools that Grant preferred as they were able to balance studies and golf.

He continued: “But she picked with her brain and chose Arizona State, which was absolutely the right pick.”

History-maker Linn Grant at Volvo Scandinavian Mixed

In the 2022 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, the Swedish golfer beat all the other golfers including her male counterparts to go on and win the event. In the historic display of gender equality, the female golfer was able to put on an imperturbable display of golf to claim her third LET title aside from the Joburg Ladies Open and Mithra Belgian Ladies Open.

Turning professional just a year before, Grant was able to turn in a 24-under par and win the event by the biggest margin on the DP World Tour in the particular season. Swedish counterpart Henrik Stenson finished second alongside Marc Warren from Scotland at 15-under while Annika Sorenstam failed to make the cut. The female pro golfer was able to score five birdies in the first six holes on the fourth day which helped her in stretching her lead tremendously.
