The BMW Championship, the second of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, came to a steady end with Viktor Hovland clinching the title and a $3.6 million winner’s payout. Scottie Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick tied for a second and Rory McIlroy took home 4th place.

The PGA Tour star Max Homa secured the 5th finish with a chance to play at the final playoff in the Tour Championship this week, but he missed the winner’s payout by 6 shots. Despite the disappointment, Homa has proved himself the king of hilarity with his latest post on social media.

The 6-time PGA Tour winner is a bucket of laughs. No matter the situation, the Farmer’s Insurance Open winner has never shied away from taking digs at himself. Even when the unfavorable nickname ‘Spicy Meatballs’, something Homa profoundly dislikes, came into play, he joined in on the fun.

In light of the BMW Championship’s ending, where he failed to take home the $3.6 million payout, a fan took to X and called out the PGA Tour pro for his strange walking style, questioning if it “controls your rhythm.” Despite the critical choice of words, Homa responded on his own X account with a hilarious response, saying, “I apparently missed the day where we all learned to walk like a normal person.”

The Berkley alumnus also compared himself to self-deprecating individuals, adding, “Many people can’t listen to their own voice and I can’t stand seeing myself walk.” His willingness to jump on the critical bandwagon and share a laugh with his fans makes him one of the most loved players on the golf course.

Homa proved that when one laughs at themselves, they take away the power from others. His self-criticism found him in a sweet, heart-winning spot with his fans.

Homa did lose his temper at a fan this time

The 7th ranked golfer on the OWGR has a great sense of humor, albeit a little dry at times. During the third round at the Olympia Fields Country Club, Chris Kirk took his shot before Max Homa on the 17th green. A fan heckled them both for missing shots, claiming he had $3 riding on the latter.

The golfer and his caddie, Joe Greiner, dug into the man hard, saying that he was rude to Kirk. “There was probably a drunk, I hope, for his case, or else he’s just the biggest loser there is,” the pro golfer added, somewhat annoyed. He also mentioned that the one piece of serenity they have on the course is that fans are usually quiet during the shot. However, this particular admirer’s antics cost him a stroke.
