The last major of men’s golf, the Open Championship is hosting its last round today at Hoylake. In the last three days, many good players had to kneel in front of the hardships at the Liverpool Golf course and unfortunately failed to make the cut, much to the disappointment of their fans.

A similar fate was suffered by a LIV Golf player who couldn’t make it to the weekend at the British Open but is now using his free time to spend with his family. Let’s find out more.

LIV defector Talor Gooch was among those golfers who tried his luck at the Open Championship. But unfortunately, luck refused to be on his side as he missed the cut and had to make an early exit from the event. But instead of packing his bags and going back to America, Gooch and his wife Ally decided to continue their stay in England and enjoy their spare time.

Talor has toured around London sightseeing and keeping his fans updated on his activities through social media. In his latest Instagram story, it looks like Ally is not happy with Talor’s performance at the tournament.

Talor posted a picture of his wife sitting in an open restaurant and looking visibly upset about something. In the picture, Gooch has added a note that says “She doesn’t look happy, but I promise she is”. Though it is just Talor trolling his wife, it is quite understandable if Mrs Gooch is upset with the Open Championship’s outcome for her husband.

Gooch’s short run at the Open and tense moment with Padraig Harrington

Gooch, who last year joined LIV Golf, got the chance to prove his might at the Open Championship this week but couldn’t make much of an impact. He was four strokes behind the line and missed the cut. Moreover, there was news of his having a rift with Padraig Harrington at Hoylake who asked Gooch to watch your feet” after Padraig was distracted by Gooch shuffling his feet on the ground.

But Taylor was quick to apologize as Harrington later tweeted. Talor won the LIV Golf Andalucía earlier this month but a poor showing in Hoylake has brought him down a peg or two, no two ways about it.
