Brooks Koepka has been making headlines ever since he went pro back in 2012 and played on the European Challenge Tour. As a pro athlete, he has to endure the burden of controversies in his personal life.
Luckily, Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims seems to have just as much a grasp over handling the media with dignity as the PGA golfer. Ever since they met in 2015, Sims and Koepka have supported each other publicly and handled any headlines made at their expense with grace and jocularity.

At the beginning of the US Open 2023 held at the Los Angeles Country Club North Course, Koepka spoke to reporters. The pro golfer was excited when one of the LIV Golf reporters wanted to play a round of rapid-fire questions with him, and he smiled the entire time, delivering his answers with poise.
Among the many queries about his favorite Gatorade color, preferred social media, and favorite golf course, he was also asked about his wife’s driving skills. The reporter queried if Brooks is a better driver or Jena to which the Smash Golf player laughed but answered honestly, “Me, very much so. She’s terrible.”
The two shared a hearty chuckle as he added, “Love her to death but she’s awful.”
In the interview turned rapid-fire posted by DrunkByTheTrain’s Instagram, the reporter pushed further with, “On the road, not necessarily on the golf course?”
Brooks couldn’t help the playfulness in his eyes while he confessed, “Yeah, no no no, Both.”
For most couples who live in the limelight, the media would have jumped with controversial comments, but not for Brooks and Jena. To show her love and support for everything he does, Jena commented on the video when tagged by a fan. “He speaks the truth,” she said in response to the fan’s suggestion that she “may want to brush up on those skills.”
She showed her support for her husband not only regarding his comment about her driving skills but also for their expected baby boy.
When asked what sport the soon-to-be-born baby will hopefully play, Brooks said “Baseball.” Not Golf like his father and it is yet another thing that Jena agrees on. Seems like her blanket comment about him speaking the truth was her way of showing that the recently-wed couple is on the same page about everything.
Brooks and Jena have supported each other from the very beginning
This is not the first time that Sims brushed off any controversy before it could begin. The Sports Illustrated model is no stranger to the limelight and stays ahead of rumors.
In the early years of their relationship, during the 2017 US Open, Joe Buck mistook Jena for Becky Edwards. Becky was Koepka’s former girlfriend. While this could have hampered many relationships, Sims remained above it all. Instead, the couple planned a trip to Vegas and allowed the storm to die down. Then Jena went public with their relationship to dissipate any rumors.

Koepka is a very lucky man when it comes to his wife. Sims has openly confessed that she knows very little about golf and the couple rarely discusses the sport. However, that doesn’t stop her from attending as many of his tournaments as possible. The former Miss Georgia Teen USA also shared that Brooks expresses concerns about the possibility of her getting bored in the crowd. “And I’m like, no way. I actually really enjoy it,” she says.
Sims also added that she likes being among the audience and listening to what they say about Koepka. His talents are boundless and she is very proud to love such an amazing man. They help each other through hard times and cheer each other on at their best moments. That’s what makes them such a strong couple.
