The 2023 LIV Golf has ended with a blast for some and woe for many. While Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC won the ultimate Miami team event, there were many players whose future was at risk after the leaderboard was released.
One such team was Majesticks GC. The team, co-captained by Ian Poulter and two teammates, finished second last on the leaderboard. While the season was not successful, the golfers have settled in their homes for a much-needed break. Amidst the absence from the golf course, Ian Poulter decided to come out for a larger-than-life cause and had a dear request to the fans.

Ian Poulter co-captains the Majesticks GC with Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson. The 47-year-old golfer had a mediocre 2023 season in the breakaway league, while Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC won the LIV Golf Miami while Talor Gooch took the Individual Champion’s title.
Though the season has ended and players are relaxing in the off-season, Ian and his team have decided to help in a dear cause. A reel shared by the team’s official Instagram handle saw the British golfer making a sincere request to his loyal fans. Poulter talked about pregnancy complications and infant loss and shared heartwrenching figures. Majesticks GC has partnered with No Feet Too Small, a nonprofit organization, to raise awareness about infant loss.
Ian also expressed why the cause is important to him and his team. He said, “Our team, players, caddies, and staff all have children of their own or families, making this cause very close to all of our hearts.” As a parent himself, Ian urged people to “join” him in this cause by either making a donation or sharing the post and raising awareness.

Ian Poulter is one of the LIV Golf advocates, including Phil Mickelson. The 12-time DP World Tour winner moved to the Saudi-backed league in 2022. Poulter’s contract was rumored to be between $20 million to $30 million.
However, the Britisher denied the reported amount in one of his Instagram Q&A sessions. Recently, in an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Ian assured the golf enthusiasts of LIV Golf’s future success.

Amidst the rejection from the OWGR and the R&A, the LIV Golf defector said, “I talked to His Excellency last week. He told me, never mind 2024, 2025—LIV will go on and on. Because I was there and talked to him.” The 47-year-old co-owns the team and wishes for the league to succeed. Many of his fans wish the same, but only time will tell what the future holds for LIV.
