The LPGA Tour is full of all kinds of talented players from around the world. But among all these professionals, Nelly Korda holds a special place in the golf fraternity. Being one of the most skilled players on the Tour, Korda has taken the sport to new heights However, the 2023 season didn’t start on a very appreciative note for the golfer. But despite all the challenges, Korda has shocked her fans by reaching the top yet again!
Nelly Korda unlocks a massive achievement
Korda, 24, has achieved huge fame for her unforgettable performances at such a young age. And despite all her records and achievements, the golfer stands out for her humble personality. Other than winning seven LPGA Tour events in her career, Korda is known for a lot of things. However, her recent performances have not been that great. And as the fans already know, the golf star has not been able to achieve a single victory this season.

Not to forget, Korda’s TaylorMade buddy and Canadian professional, Brooke Henderson, has already won the HGV Tournament of Champions this year. But despite not winning anything yet this season, Korda has unlocked a new achievement. As per LPGA Tour’s latest Instagram post, the golf beauty is currently on a ‘hot streak’ of playing the most rounds within the 60s range this year on the Tour.

Despite losing the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January, Korda scored 68-69-68 in the first three rounds. Moreover, she played all four rounds within the same range at the Honda LPGA Thailand event in February. Similarly, the golfer scored 68 consecutively in the first three rounds at the HSBC Women’s World Championship with a final round of 69.
Currently playing at the LA Open at Palos Verdes Golf Club, Korda ended her first round yesterday for a total of 68. And that is why the LPGA Tour pointed it out as a continued streak of the golfer scoring in the 60s range.

Which top players are competing with Korda at the LA Open?
The field for the DIO Implant LA Open is filled with skilled golfers from around the world. And as far as it goes for Korda, she is facing some serious competition this year. Coming up before anyone else is Korda’s special friend and world no.1, Lydia Ko. The player missed the Drive On Championship recently but is back on the field for the LA Open.

Other than Ko, the LPGA Tour pro will have to face defending champion Nasa Hataoka, who is back for her 20th title on the Tour. Moreover, stars including Georgia Hall, Jin Young Ko, Atthaya Thitikul, and In Gee Chun are also present to prove their golfing abilities on the field.
