LIV Golf has been struggling to show the world new ways of playing professional golf. However, it has been gravely failing since there have been no fans attending their tournaments. But after a recent revelation on Twitter by a page, a new debate has started to surface about the truth behind the low number of spectators.

Latest LIV Golf revelation strikes debate between golf fans
A lot of PGA Tour fans were making fun of the condition of the rival LIV league for its low number of spectators on the field. After LIV Golf face, Phil Mickelson, made supportive statements about the new format, fans highlighted how no one was interested to watch them play. Several fans have been posting pictures of LIV Golf tournaments where no spectators can be seen watching the game.

However, when a fan recently posted a picture to show the same to the world, an unofficial LIV Golf page decided to strike back. The page responded to the tweet by posting a video showing a pretty big crowd at the LIV Golf Miami tournament. Looking at the picture that the fan posted earlier, not even a single person could be seen standing outside the ropes. However, the page’s response claimed that the picture was taken from a certain angle to deteriorate the image of the new league.
“Anyone can take a selective screenshot to make it look like there are no fans on the course. You could do it for any tournament,” The page replied along with the video. It also said that looking at the live stream of LIV Golf tournaments on Youtube could provide a better judgment about the crowds present during the game.
Fans participate in the LIV debate
Fans have not left any opportunity to degrade the new Saudi-backed league ever since it posed a threat to the PGA Tour. However, the recent tweet got a few supportive comments about the new circuit as well. But most of the fans still chose to shoot taunts at Greg Norman’s tour.

If you watched the stream you saw these crowds, let’s not be disingenuous now. https://t.co/02Uy44AU19 pic.twitter.com/wx68t2pUTe

The man who posted the picture of the empty field also responded to the page’s comments about the crowd.
That’s not a crowd! 😂😂😂

Some fans said that it was not fair to call such a small number of people a ‘crowd”. They even compared it to the number of people who come forward to attend average PGA Tour events.
If you call that a crowd you are sadly confused !

"Several thousand spectators were spaced around the course, but nowhere near the roughly 20,000 that might attend an average PGA Tour event, on the first day."

Funny how you guys always only show shots from near the main entrance where 1 tee and 18 green come together…you are just as bad as those saying no one comes – I was there today, the crowd was nothing great actually on the course

While the page simply tried to answer back and defend the league against all such comments by the fans.
I only tweeted this out to provide some balance to a tweet that went viral, I’m not claiming the crowds are huge but they are also not zero.

Last week day one on the PGAT. The now new world number 1. Not much going on all week to be honest in that event. pic.twitter.com/piODr6AAyk

However, there were a few who were also in support of the LIV Golf league and said they were all eyes for LIV tournaments.
One of my bucket list courses (it’s a big list) hoping to get down there next year.
I don’t watch a lot of golf but lately when I do it’s LIV.

No matter how big or small the crowds are at the LIV Golf league, there is finally some acceptance for the new league among fans. However, fans being in support of the Saudi-backed circuit also means that it is now an even bigger threat to the PGA Tour. There are rumors that the two leagues might look forward to a merger soon. But as long as fans are supporting both leagues, the future is unpredictable.
