The LIV Golf Series is finally back after its season-end break. The Breakaway Tour returns this week for its second season. This comes after a 4-month off-season break that began in October. Its first event begins on Friday this week in Mexico at a previously used PGA Tour course nonetheless. Hence, having poached players and now a course from the Tour, the Saudi-backed series begins its second season, ever hopeful. But the fans don’t share that same hope.

LIV Golf this year sees a 14-event season that begins at the El Camaleón Golf Course in Mayaboka Mexico. The course had hosted events for the PGA Tour for 15 years until it partnered with LIV last year. The series has clearly grown since its inauguration a year ago. But many wonder whether it will progress even further. Or will the fire of its growth quickly burn out? Well, Let’s see what the golf fans have to say!

Recently flushing it, an ex-golf pro’s Twitter account pointed out in a post how far the Tour of Defectors had come since its first season that began a year ago. “It’s crazy to think how much pro golf has changed in the last year,” they wrote.

The account further spoke about how its star-filler roster was the best in the world. “This week, they have the strongest field in the world at a venue that hosted the PGA Tour a few months ago,” they wrote. “Things move fast.” But the golf fans didn’t agree with this news. They trashed the page and took LIV Golf along with it.

Many in the golf world could not comprehend how the claim strongest field stood through. They lashed out at the account, saying that the Tour had a far stronger side and that the breakaway tour could never hold a candle to it.

Fans further chimed in claiming that no one cared for the LIV series. Many even suggested that, despite the league now having a broadcast partner, no one would watch its tournaments and events.

It didn’t just end there; fans also added how the Saudi-backed series would fall just as fast as it had risen. One fan even boldly predicted that in two years, the new league would not be in golf anymore.
