Charley Hull had high hopes for the Solheim Cup but they ended in disappointment. A few months ago she was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) after which she took some time off to focus on her mental health. The break worked and Hull returned with a fresh mind and better results.
Unfortunately, while she was on the flight to Spain, Hull sprained her neck and was struggling in her performance on the first day on Friday due to a stiff and painful neck. She only won one match in the Saturday fourball sessions with partner Leona Maguire.
However, the team Europe retained the trophy after a 14-14 tie and Hull was very happy about it. She took a couple of days oof to relax and this week appeared for the ongoing event as the defending champion. Despite the lingering pain, she has cleared the first two rounds and made the cut. To celebrate this, she posted a picture of herself on Instagram from the course and wrote: “Onto the weekend…⛳️😊✌🏼”
