John Daly and his son are set to appear at the Ritz Carlton Golf Course, for the yearly parent-child outing at the PNC Championship. But ahead of that, the 1995 Open Champion was kicking around in a Las Vegas casino with a famous WWE bigwig. The two were spotted in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa.
As seen in the club’s social media handles, which Daly reposted, the five-time PGA Tour winner was standing with Titus O Neil by a casino table. This brings to mind one of Daly’s bone-chilling stories of when he lost a jaw-dropping $55 million in gambling.

Seemingly, a craps game was going on and Daly, with Titus O Neil, keenly looked over the table. Although the two-time major champion was not rolling the dice himself, he looked pretty invested in the game. We’re not sure if he made any actual ‘investment’ there, though.
Daly said he would bet in red, because “it’s Christmas time.” We would like to believe that was just a tongue-in-cheek. John Daly has faced troubles because of his gambling addiction. In his autobiography, Daly admitted to having lost $600,000 in a single sitting at a slot machine. It was his way of letting go of the frustration after he lost to Tiger Woods in a hard-fought playoff in 2005.
In a candid chat with Graham Bensinger, Daly once admitted he had lost around 55 Million dollars in gambling. The host asked, “How is that even possible?” Daly had a very simple answer. “Stupidity.”
But that has been the story of the long past. The two-time winner’s only indulgence is his favorite cigar. John Daly is sure to be back from Vegas shortly, as the PNC Championship calls him in Orlando.

Last year, the duo once again came close to sniffing the title. However, Vijay Singh and Qass Singh posed a stiff challenge in their title defense–a hurdle that they could not surmount. The 2023 PNC Championship will run from December 14 – 17. Tiger Woods has also confirmed his participation with his teenage son Charlie Woods.
