Last week was Stage 2 of LPGA Q-School in Venice, Florida. For Swedish amateur golfer Ingrid Lindblad, this was one of the important stages. But tragedy strikes the US Women’s Open Low-Am winner twice. While talking to the media last Friday, she revealed her ordeal. On her way to Venice, her suitcase was stolen. “So actually, flying over here my suitcase was stolen at the airport,” Lindblad said.
While she was at the Atlanta Airport and was waiting for her connecting flight to Orlando, Lindblad found out that while she was there, her luggage was already on its way to Orlando without her and would reach the destination airport before her. The 23-year-old says, “So we fly in and Delta puts my bag on an earlier flight while I’m sitting in Atlanta, which is ridiculous because it only gets there one hour earlier.
“As soon as I land at Orlando airport my AirTag is leaving the airport.” She quickly put two and two together. That her luggage was stolen. And then instead of heading to the competition Ingrid had to head to the police station and file two reports stating the situation and reporting the items she lost.
“So I started the week with filing two police reports. We met up with the police where the AirTag was last seen. That’s how my week started,” Lindblad concluded.

After dealing with the police, Ingrid realized that she had absolutely no extra clothes so she headed to Target and shopped for regular and golf clothes for $250. But these unexpected hindrances didn’t throw her off the game. She still managed to show what her spirits were like. She is among the nine amateurs who topped the field by five strokes with an 18-under.
