Viktor Hovland claimed his fifth PGA Tour victory at the BMW Championship with a massive 17-under 263 on the par 70 golf course in Olympia Fields Country Club. The Memorial Tournament winner shared a secret of how he marks his golf ball with a long line, a practice he started implementing nearly 5 years ago. It is something prevalently done by many other golfers using Titleist balls because it is easier to “aim it consistently.” Hovland talked about how the short strokes don’t allow a lot of space for break; therefore precision is key. He even experimented to see how far he shot with and without the black line.

“I just aimed it miles better,” the BMW Champion stated about shooting with the line. “Taking the human error kinda out of it a little bit,” he added, explaining that even a lot of wrist movement makes it difficult to aim it right.
