As an amateur golfer, she has made every possible achievement. Owing to her fantastic performance, Rose has not only turned pro with the Mizuho Americas Open but also became the second golfer to win her first pro championship. The first woman to enjoy this glorious achievement was Beverly Hanson in 1951. She beat Babe Zaharias and became the first player ever to win their first professional match. Rose snagged this glorious win with panache and ease.
Moreover, Zhang was also congratulated by Tiger Woods himself on this huge victory. Tiger tweeted, “Incredible few weeks for Rose Zhang, defends her NCAA title and then wins in her Pro debut. Go card,” showing his support and approval for the young golf prodigy.

Zhang a earns heavy paycheck and the prestige of carrying a legacy
In the first two rounds, Zhang couldn’t get to the top, but on the third day, she turned the tables and rose to the top of the leaderboard. She was in a tie with Jennifer Kupcho after the third round, which she acquired with six aces at different rounds. In the fourth round, she beat Jennifer at the second hole of the play-off, leaving behind players like Aditi Ashok, Minjee Lee, and others.
In the Amateur World Golf Ranking, Zhang held the first rank, had a total of 16 wins and finished in the top 10 players 23 times. With this win, Zhang has taken home the first prize of $412,500 out of the $2.75 million purse and a huge legacy started by another female golfer 72 years ago. It is an achievement of the highest prestige which is not even enjoyed by the elite golfers.
